can you change information on a valid visa

Hi, my name is terrance, i am working in calgary on a work permit
but my problem is my temporary resident visa!
the expire date on it is 30 oct 2009 but it has one as the number of entries.
so it's like a single entry.
My problem is that i want to leave but return after.
Can i get the information regarding the number of entries change from within canada
before i leave?

Hey Chris.. if you are planning to visit US, no need to worry about the single entry, they will let you in, however, for other countries, you do need Multiple entry VISA.
