Good day
I came to Canada on a study permit and then got a work permit in Ontario. The work permit is supposed to be for 3 years and I have not been able to get a job in my field for more than 2 years.
MY questions are

1. Is it possible to get the PR even without experience in my field though I have been working general labour jobs all this time. I'm asking this because a friend said he only had to work for 6 months in a labour job and a lawyer was able to get him the PR.

2. If i get a job in my field and although i need a year's experience in it,if i have less than a year left on my work permit, would i be able to get some kind of extension on my work permit to allow me to get the year's experience?

Thank you very much for your answers

1. There is no way that your friend applied to PR with only 6 months of work experience under FSW or CEC.
2. There is no way that you become eligible to apply without at least 1 year of work experience in a NOC 0, A, B job(s). You will also not be granted any extensions to your work permit without an employer who is willing to file for LMIA.
