Can you apply for permanent residencies in more than one country at the same time?

Hello everyone, I have a question, It would be nice if someone can help me! My family applied for Canadian permanent residence and I am included on that application like dependent children. But at the same time, I would like to apply for another PR in another country for a personal reason. And my question is it possible to do this so? If I will apply do I need to inform Canada about this and will it make some problem to me? Thank you for all the answers!

Canada doesn’t have an issue with it. The other country might. You would have to advise them of it if you got another PR before your application was completed and your landing. Maintains the residency obligation or criteria for both might be tricky.
