Hello everyone,

We are workers in Canada and recently submitted our PR (Express Entry) application including all the necessary documents. While our application is still being reviewed, can we submit a visitor visa application parallelly for parents? They are currently in India and would love to visit us in 2023. However, we are confused if having multiple applications will have any impact on our PR process.
Please let us know if there is anything we should be aware of.

Many thanks.

Yes, your parents can apply for a TRV. This has no impact on your PR application.

Thank you very much for the response, appreciate it.
However, could you provide more evidence please? Are you aware of someone who went through the same situation without any issues?

Also, can we apply for TRV for 4 people i.e., my parents (father and mother) and my husband's parents (father-in-law and mother-in-law) at the same time?

I don't have any evidence to provide.

Your parents apply for the TRV, not you. This has nothing to do with your PR application.

Sure, both sets of parents can apply.

They apply based on their own profile as true visitors.
That has no true impact to your PR application.
They will need to show strong tie to their home countries.

Awesome that's wonderful to know. One last question please:

My friend is on a work permit in Canada and he recently submitted a visa application for his spouse - Spouse Open Work Permit. Can he parallelly submit another TRV application for his parents?
