I have received the CoPR and waiting for PR card. In my ITA I have LMIA exempt job offer and I got points for it in the ITA. Is it obligatory for me to work this year after the PR card? I am on a work permit now. Please advice.

nobody will question the employer , about the job offer he gave me ??

As a permanent resident, you have the right to:

  • get most social benefits that Canadian citizens receive, including health care coverage,
  • live, work or study anywhere in Canada,
  • apply for Canadian citizenship,
  • protection under Canadian law and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
You must pay taxes and respect all Canadian laws at the federal, provincial and municipal levels.

Now if your job offer was tied to a particular provincial nomination, then it might be a little bit unclear. However, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms still grants you, as a PR, the right to live and work anywhere in Canada.
