Can we process TRV along with PR application

Folks,

I'm recently received the extended WorkPermit valid till Sep 11 2018,so naturally visa is expired(14th Oct 2017).
Also I have submitted PR application and its currently in progress (AOR :11th Oct 2017 and Medicals passed)
I'm planning to apply for TRV for an emergency visit to home country.
Is it ok to have dual process, will it impede the PR processing?

Yes . You can. But my advice is dont do that. I was in your same case and My company has given an letter for requesting TRV for match up with my workpermit dates which is less than an year time frame and In my PR application ,i claimed 50 points for Job confirmation if i get pr on next one year.
So Unless you are not in emergency, dont go for TRV. It might affect your PR .
 
I believe TRV is not going to affect PR at all.Those are two different cases.Its always a good idea to get TRV.
I did the same.
Got my TRV when PR application is processing.
 
Thanks @balaprasad123 and @Karachi1978 !! Even my team members have advice to go for TRV, hope that request for passport for PR and TRV timing doesnt conflict! I hope not that when I was requested for passport for PR ,passport is already with CRA for TRV processing,is that something to be concerned about?

Hi, were you able to get work permit while your PR application was in process?

Hi ,
I am now in the same situation as urs, work permit is extended and PR application(inland) in process(medical nd Biometric completed).Should I go for TRV?

I am in same situation and have applied for TRV while my PR application is in process.
Do u want to connect?
No idea if i will get copr first or trv as its processing time is 45 days
