I don't understand that desperation to apply under the old rules in the slow April June batch full of high volume of applications and high volume of problematic applications full with mistakes and applying only with basic residence while at the same time the people can apply under the new fast system and obtain their citizenship for approx. the same time like those who are rushing now.
So you think the processing time of April-June applicants would be fast or slower... than applicants before....it is not clear in CIC website for this batch

Logically there are some extra unusual factors that present in that batch and realistically they should expect slower processing times.

There is a reason why CIC has made that differentiation in the official statement.

Hi, I checked all the courier services and Canada post but none of them can deliver before June 11, from where I live in Northern Alberta. So I am taking a flight a Nova Scotia but I was just wondering if I can deliver my application in person or do I have to courier it from there? Does any one know?

Were you able to pull off the impossible and get your application in today?

For sure it is much more interesting to get the very same citizenship but with epic efforts and emotions, just like there is a special competition.

ROLF :P

I was in Sydney, NS for the last few days. Nobody can submit the application in person.

Just next to CIC there is a post office which is actually a sorting center. You can drop off their and they deliver it. It takes one business day.

Wishing you and all of the hopefuls for today the best. It's a very personal thing, and I know I'm so excited that my chips fell in line for a March date this year for AOR. We can't know why it's so important for this person who has the means to try and get it there for this generation of applications. I know that when I received my PR passport request back in Jan 2012, I flew across the continent in a blizzard to Buffalo to get my COPR in person. I landed 5 days later in BC. Had I waited for the post, who knows?
