No, not until you are married. Or you can apply alone and then add the spouse after the marriage, if you qualify.

echoes1978 said:If I apply alone, I need high proficiency in IELTS exam, and after I add my spouse who has family in Canada, then moderate proficiency in IELTS exam is enough. I am not sure that I can pass this exam with high proficiency or that I can change my proficiency in application after I say that I have high skills and the result is moderate or .....???
mpapdp.1984 said:I think it's better if you apply after you are married. That way your application will be processed much faster. Also you do not have to worry about the points factor (high or moderate proficiency). And anyways, June is not too far from now!!
CanadaVisa4me said:What if you apply now without IELTS, no wife and claim high efficiency. Then after CIO replies back, you send in your application to the visa office after you have married and you will get the spousal points so having less IELTS won't matter as long as you have 67.
CanadaVisa4me said:Why dont you send them a letter which says that you will be getting married in June.
I think many people claim high points for language and then don't get it. Perhaps one of them can answer whether they got their PR after doing that.
