Hi all! My partner and I submitted a joint application: SOWP + study permit. My application (SOWP) got delayed due to a requirement for sputum tests, but he got his approval yesterday. Is it possible for a jointly-applied SOWP to get refused after the principal applicant has been approved, or does his approval mean that I'll also get mine after the medical has been updated? (I've never had TB, it's just a little abnormality on my lung, so should be fine). Also – how long after my final medical results can I expect the decision? Any info would really appreciated!!

Our timeline:
Submission: 13 May 2022
Biometrics request: 14 May 2022
Medical request: 22 June
Additional docs request (additional proof of cohabitation): 24 June
Medical tests: 8 July
Request for extra tests for SOWP: 18 July
Principal applicant passes medical: 19 July
Additional docs uploaded: 22 July
Principal applicant approved: 3 August

My partner is flying on 3 September, and my final test (x-ray) is scheduled for 7 October. I'm very worried that we'll get separated by all of this.

Thanks!

Yes, it's possible for the SOWP to be refused. Applying jointly doesn't guarantee that the second application will be approved if the first one is approved.
