Can someone with an acceptance from a University in Canada land in another city

Hello,

I have been accepted for graduate program in Ottawa, I have obtained my student visa. I have family in Calgary, Can I land first in Calgary to visit my family and then fly to Ottawa after few days? Will there be any problem for my study permit at the border?

I dont think there will be any problem. Even my university is in winnipeg but I will initially go to toronto to visit my sister. Just tell the immigration officer that u are visiting your family only for few days. Book your ticket from calgary to ottawa before reaching calgary.

i WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE FIRST ARRIVAL. BECAUSE IT IS WHERE THE "STUDY PERMIT" WILL BE ISSUED AT COSTUM IN THE AIRPORT
