Hey guys,

I have my ITA and am about to submit my documents. But I was just reading the requirements for the job offer letter on the CIC website and have a sudden worry that my job offer is not valid because my employer doesn't have a Labour Market Impact Assessment. I have a full time, skill A, permanent job at a small film company... BUT it is not a LMIA supported job nor is it exempt from needing an LMIA. If I recall, I selected NO when asked if my job has LMIA.

Below is the criteria... does this mean my application will be rejected? Or is there is something I need to do before submitting my docs?

Thanks for the help!!

a. the employer making you the job offer has a new positive Labour Market Impact Assessment from Employment and Social Development Canada that approves the offer and names you and your position

OR

b. you are currently working in Canada in a NOC 0, A or B job on a work permit that was issued based on a Labour Market Impact Assessment, and

- you are working for an employer listed on your work permit
- you are authorized to work in Canada on the day
- you apply for a permanent resident visa, and when the visa is issued, and your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you are accepted as a permanent resident

OR

c. you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:

- are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
- have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer and
- have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa.

What is your CRS score? Specifically under Arranged Employment.

If you open your EE profile for which you received an ITA one of the messages should be the actual invitation. In the invitation letter it will tell you on what basis were you invited (The breakdown of your points). If under CRS – Arranged Employment it says anything but 0 that means you claimed points for a valid job offer. If it reads 0, then all you need is reference letters, paystubs, T4 and any other proof for your jobs that you claimed under your Work History Section.
