Hello friends,

Firstly i dont want to mislead any one or carry any false news, I just need some clarification as i was going through the CIC's Facebook page below, where it says the below. Can any anyone comment on this ! I am very curious to know how is this helpful for the International students
"Did you know that work obtained through the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program may help support your application to become a permanent resident of Canada? Learn more: http://ow.ly/5rVW302HfjS"

Your post is confusing. This isn't news - it's been like this for a while. Work experience gained during the PGWP can be used towards FSW and/or CEC.

this is not really new news as someone on a PGWP still needs to be employed in a job with a skilled NOC to gain Canadian work experience. Working in Hortons or Starbucks still will not qualify anyone for example but working in a 0,a, b classified job might help for the application. As said this is not new just CIC taking the opportunity given lot people graduating to remind them about PGWP.

Hello Scylla,

My apologies for creating the confusion, as i am myself confused ! i just came through the above post on CIC's Facebook page as it was displaying posted 2 hours ago. So i thought , i mean i was asking all the experts on the forum to comment if this news is related to any points
or extra credits for International students in EE. Very confused as i did not find any sources with new points notification etc etc so i was asking members for feedback ! And also the URL posted in the post directs to the CIC's old website and i realized this is the same old page. However i wanted to delete this thread but not able to do so .
Thanks

CIC facebook post isn't announcing anything new - it's referring to existing rules.
