Can protected person Adop a child of 6 years old after submission of his PR application and family

Pls need help
Can I adop my sister in law son , which she has been died one day before , she did try to suieside 3 yers before after having fight with her husband and since three years she was in hospital and her son was with my family , now his father dnt want to take and has old grand mom , now we are really upset for that kid and I have already submitted my PR and passed medical ,

No you can't adopt the child that would be considered an adoption of convenience.
