property as POF is not accepted.
As per guideline : -
Provide proof of unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible currency available for settlement in Canada
•current bank certification letter; or
•evidence of savings balance; or
•fixed or time deposit statements.

Can you give link of that guideline here wherein it is stated that property of applicants can be accepted as settlement funds.

11.
SETTLEMENT FUNDS
Refer to the "Proof of Funds" section of our Web site for exact figures and instructions.
Provide proof of unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible currency available for settlement in Canada (for you and your family members):
•current bank certification letter; or
•evidence of savings balance; or
•fixed or time deposit statements.

Always refer to the Visa office specific guide in this case since the information present on the website is generic

With Generic.....u mean that it may be true for some visa offices & may not be for others??? right

Yes I mean its general as your said applicable to some visa offices and not to some. Like I guess property valuation is accepted in London Visa office.

No I do not have the list. And I can understand completely that liquidating property is not a good option.

To be honest CHC is very slow in case of updating manuals and checklist. Suggestion, why don't you send a case specific inquiry to your local CHC and ask for different proof of funds and it will be clear. Its better to talk and clarify.
