Hello All,

We got married on March 10th in Toronto ,Canada. Our marriage certificate will come in May end.

My husband has landed in Canada on his PR. He has his PR card now. He is finding his job for employment. He has fund in his bank ;which he brought from India as new Immigrant.

Now ,here are my questions:
1) Can he put spouse file without having employment?
2) I am in USA and having my Indian passport. In this case, the application would be outland. My file (Spouse file ) will go to India or USA? I know that I have to provide PCC from USA,too.

Looking forward for your response.

Thanks,
Akruti

Congrats on getting Married,
one thing is not clear in the question "What is your status in USA ?"

1) Yes, but he will need to provide evidence of how you two will support yourselves without needing welfare. He also needs to remain in Canada while your app is processing.

2) Since you are residing in the US, I believe you can either fill out the US checklist or the Indian checklist. However where the application actually ends up processing is up to CIC. There is no guarantee it will go to Ottawa instead of ND. You can try requesting Ottawa with a short letter sent with the application.

I am on my Student Visa.

My husband will be in Canada that is for sure.

We both can show the amount of welfare.

I am still confused for USA and Indian checklist.

I mean, for out-land processing CIC is showing 17 months.

For that duration of 17 months, if I follow USA/India checklist, should I need to stay in respective country?
