Hello all, I looked at at Canada.ca website and it says parents of PR are likely allowed to enter Canada. But the final determination will be made by a government official at the port of entry. I am very concerned with this because I have my PR status but my mother has only visitor visa and she wants to come to Canada this summer.

Are there any people here in a similar situation? Have your parents successfully enter Canada? Thank you very much!

I know a few friends of mine who are PR and their parents came here in the last couple of months on visitor visa. They didn't have any issues, only now anyone coming into Canada would have to go through the hotel quarantine.

Hello gurpreet.ts, thank you very much for your positive reply!

May I know what did they say when the border officials asked them what are their reason to enter Canada? I think this could be important and in my case, my mother does not have a strong reason. However, my mother needs to stay with me because my father has passed away and she cannot live without me beside her.
