Hello
I am a Canadian PR. My parents will be applying for a multiple entry visit visa to Canada and the US.
Assuming they have been allowed to stay in Canada for 6 months, can they go to the US at the end of their permitted 6 month stay, stay in the US for a day or so, and come back to Canada to stay for another 6 months. Is there a minimum period of time you have to be outside Canada to be allowed back into Canada based on your Canadian multiple entry visa?

Thanks

Provided their Canadian multiple visa does not expire they can come in and out any number of times.

Thanks. But is there a minimum period of time you have to be outside Canada to be allowed back into Canada based on your Canadian multiple entry visa?

Not that I know of unless the Immigration Officer has put conditions on the visa

As long as they are still visiting and not living in Canada. A few days stay in the US may not work. The officer may suspect that their exit is not a real exit and they may be given VRs (with caps, not the full 6 months allowed visit each time), when they re-enter, or not given a new stamp but just finish the duration of the allowed visit.
