Hi There,

Back home, I did my undergrad in Veterinary medicine.
As part of my program, I did internship for one year with monthly salary.
That internship was around 30 hours/week. Currently I am doing masters at Canada.
Now, I wanna apply in express entry program.

Can I use my internship hours as work experience???

Thanks

As far as I know the experience gained in Canada under a study permit will not be considered as work experience. But the case mentioned by nilnitesh, refers to the work experience gained in his home country.

Doesn't matter, if your work experience was part of your education if won't be considered.

Not true. This applies only to experience acquired while being a full time student inside Canada.

Can someone please clarify this for me. If I worked full-time right after high-school for 4 years, then studied for 4 years to get a bachelors degree while continuing to work 30 hours per week full time, can I use 0, 4 or 8 years of work experience for EE program? Everything happened outside of Canada if that matters.

Thanks in advance.

It matters if it happened within or outside Canada.

In this case, you can claim years of experience assuming all of this was paid work experience under NOC 0/A/B acquired within the last 10 years.

Are you sure about that? That if outside canada it can be counted as experience?

Asivad Anac is 100% correct. If it was gained outside Canada you can claim it towards you work experience!

Thanks
