I just received my ITA on the last draw date and im in the process of getting all my documents together. I know I have a clean criminal record in Canada as i got a police check when i left but i am now concerned about a few outstanding debts i irresponsibly left behind. A few parking tickets, a water bill and a credit card with a thousands bucks on it. Ive never heard anything about any of them since leaving, but now im nervous if this is the sort of thing the IRCC will be investigating when they do their background checks. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Pay your debts and then your conscience will be clean. Either way this is highly unlikely to affect your immigration application, unless there was some criminal aspect.

No effect but your credit score more than likely is in the toilet
You weren't obviously nervous when you left everything, why all of a sudden it would be on your mind now doesn't make sense

Nope, these things will not affect your immigration application. Especially parking tickets and water bill are nothing to worry about.

1,000 dollars in debts reflects poorly on you, maybe you can pay it off before submitting all your documents to IRCC. It shouldn't matter though IMO because it is not a super large amount.

You will be rejected immediately when the officer figures out your issues. Canada is a country friendly to the people who are honest and punish really harsh to those who regard the legal responsibilities as toilet paper, like you.
