Hi all,
I'm approved as sponsor for my (outland) husband who's application was sent to Amman (no AOR), just what was indicated on the SA letter (Jul 30, 2015). Given that the processing times have increased, and that my husband is a civil engineer, and that this occupation is listed under the strategic occupations for Alberta, I'm wondering if he might be able to get to Canada faster by applying vis Express Entry under Provincial Nomination Program.
He also cannot obtain a visit visa for Canada (he's Syrian) so right now my career is on hold while I spend time with him in the UAE.
Is this possible? Is it worth doing? I know he would have to do an IELTS (his English is excellent) and get his academic credentials assessed (he has one copy of his educational transcripts translated and it's unlikely he can get another one from Syria)
