Hey everyone,

As the title states I am wondering if myself and my common law partner can apply individually for PR. here's the situation..

I would be the primary applicant if we were to apply together, however my partner is concerned that some of her paper work would be rejected and therefore jeporordise both our chances. (she is waiting on a lot of stuff from her former University and and new SIN number in order to pay her taxes, some of her work is paid in cash so there is a lot to work out for her there)

We are both in canada at the moment on our own IEC work permits. I have 2 years work experience in canada. I want to apply asap because I have my 30th birthday coming up and I need all the points I can get. She doesn't feel ready and does not want to bring our points down, or risk our application being denied because of her.

My question is can we apply seperately? I would be applying now. I guess I would check the option that she is not accompanying me to Canada. But would this throw up a red flag because she is already in canada with me? She would then apply when she feels ready.

any help appreciated,

thanks!
