Can my spouse get work permit

Hi, My name is jyothi. I am applying as a live in caregiver. I want to know if my husband can come along with me, if yes can he get. an open work permit as job does not come under 0 / A category.

if not what are the other possible options, I don't want him to stay back.

Your spouse does not qualify for an open work permit.

He can apply to come to Canada as a tourist - however this will only allow him to stay for a short period of time. There is also no guarantee the tourist visa will be approved.

Alternatively, he can find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer him a job and can get an approved LMO so that he can apply for his own work permit.
