I have my student visa and will go to study for my Doctor’s degree (PhD) in Canada this August. My husband is applying for a school in Canada this year and will apply for a student visa as well.
We don’t think there is any problem with that until recently my husband’s TRV got refused. The refusal reason is “we do not think you will leave Canada at the end of your stay”. (He just wants to accompany me and help me settle down, then he will return to work till he gets admitted by an university.) We searched a bit and found that the officers might suspect he wants to immigrant and does not leave Canada on time. However, we are both well-educated and has/had been working for university, and have never thought of that! We study because we both want to be professors, instead of engineers in university.
Now I am worried, when my husband applies for his student visa, will the officers think we both study because we want to immigrant, and refuse him again?
Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks a lot.
