Nope, your student visa does not entitle you to become a sponsor.
They can try applying under Federal Skilled Worker program.

Your spouse or common law partner can apply for an open work permit while you are studying in Canada as a foreign student on a student visa. There is no guarantee the open work permit will be approved. But they can certainly apply.
