I completed my first year of engineering at MacEwan University,AB (2016-17). I wanted to transfer to UofA but then it wasn't successful, so then I applied to Seneca college but then they said their seats weren't vacant, for fall 2017. So I reapplied to seneca for winter'18 and then I got accepted yesterday. The real issue is that my MacEwan fees for fall'17 is due on the 29th September and Seneca's fees is due on 1st of October'17 for winter term. I dont want to pay twice and I want to just pay for Seneca. So can I drop my classes at MacEwan and then just wait for my classes to start in Jan at Seneca? What are the consequences of doing this?

Ps. I am an international student.

The first consequence is that you have to stop working immediately since you'll no longer be studying full time and won't be able to start working again until your classes begin again in January.

The second consequence is that once you're out of school for over 90 days, your study permit is automatically canceled. I would change your status to visitor if you want to remain in Canada and then reapply for a new study permit closer to January.

Thank you.
Can you please provide me the link from where you got this info from? Are there any other solutions?
So let me get this straight, so if I were to get enrolled as a student in Seneca before the 90 days period then would my study permit still be valid?
