Can I work while I am in study permit ??

Dear experts please let me know what is on or off cumpus work permit
If I go to canada as a student can I work or not
Some One told first six month you can't work unless in campus wp
But you can work cash in hand

Truely I didn't understand what does it mean cash in hand

To work in canada on study permit ,You need to have Off campus work permit but You have to wait for first six months after arriving before applying for it however you can work ON campus without applying for any work permit.
it is illegal to work in canada on study visa without valid OCWP(off campus work permit) but still there are many cash Jobs u can get ,they usually pay less.

I do not recommend to work illegally but here many students I know who are earning upto $2000 monthly working 7 days a week.Jobs can be any where from cleaner to sales representative,help desk associate ,cook,waiter ,cashier & security

No - it won't. With an off-campus work permit you're limited to working 20 hours per week (likely at or close to minimum wage) and your earnings will be taxed.

However if you stick to working legally through an off-campus work permit, then there's no risk of deportation due to illegal work.
