Hi Guys,
I want to know if I can work on the same day I receive my completion letter.
Let me share my scenario. This coming Monday (June 1, 2020), my college will be giving out completion letters to all those who have graduated in April 2020. And, I currently work at Walmart as overnight associate. I have a doubt that whether I can work on the same day I receive my completion letter? Does the IRCC consider point of time?
I have an upcoming shift on Sunday & Monday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Going by the time, the hours that I will work from 12a.m. - 7a.m. goes into the following days respectively (Monday & Tuesday).
Looking this case from immigration point of view, I will have worked on Monday from 12a.m. - 7a.m. before receiving my completion letter. Suppose, If I complete my work permit application on Monday 8 p.m., will I able to work legally on Monday night 11 p.m. to 7a.m. (Tuesday morning)?
This link was by far the most informative resource that I could scrounge but only little information is provided.

Off-campus work and completion of a program of studies
Students who have not applied for a subsequent study or work permit or a program of study
Students may work off campus on a part-time basis if the following applies:
Once a student receives written confirmation of program completion from their institution, they are no longer authorized to continue to work in Canada, as they no longer meet the eligibility criteria in paragraph R186(v). They should apply to change their status (for instance, to visitor status) or leave Canada before their study permit becomes invalid as per section R222.
Following the green text, It mentions that date is considered. However, some of my friends are suggesting that I can resume my work the moment I receive my work permit application number.
This mixed reviews has left me confused. Please advise, should I leave my shift for Sunday and Monday or continue to take risk?
Thanks in advance.
