Hi all,

I would like to know that can any one having an online courses certification like MS-office Or CCNA, without having and university degree of IT can find or do work in IT field ?

Is it compulsory for having a university degree for this job kind of job ?

I hold a university degree in Pharmacy but I have certification in IT, can any employer hire me in this criteria?

Since I can't work as a pharmacist because it requires a lengthy exams for about 3 years and after that I can do job as a pharmacist.

Thanks

it depends on the employer.
Proper employers wont hire someone without proper qualification.
Since you dont need registration snd license to work in the IT field it may help you.
but even if you get the job the pay will be just basic not high

Not personally to you; but many people who find difficulty in finding job in their own field like pharmacy, civil engineering, physicist, etc. end up in IT as their profession. They find it as a safe heaven. I am not sure how much do they progress in that though!!!

People consider that I know how to turn on the computer, check emails, chat on IMs, install software... wow.. I can work in IT..! Yes you can, but those jobs wont take you where you may land after working in your own field for which you have all basic knowledge to till date.

I agree with the comment above. You may land up in a quick job but how long will you excel is a different story. Companies tend to hire developers, analysts, architects who have spent years studying technical concepts from basics and working hard to attain an engineering or masters degree.
