Hi all,
I am a current student, my co-op term starts this month its a 2 months co-op. Last day of my college is 31st August. How can I continuously work with the same employer without a break? Am I allowed to work for the employer after completing my coop and until I receive my final grades? so that I can continue work with pgwp.

Appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks.

Once your co-op is over, you can only work full time once you have submitted your PGWP application.

as students since we can work fulltime during breaks, after coop isnt the time we spend to wait for the results considered as break?
No - not if you have completed your program. Again, you can't legally work full time until you have submitted your PGWP application.

Who can work off-campus during the transition period of study permit to PGWP/WP
review the IRCC regulation;
186 (w) if they are or were the holder of a study permit who has completed their program of study and
  • (i) they met the requirements set out in paragraph (v), and
  • (ii) they applied for a work permit before the expiry of that study permit and a decision has not yet been made in respect of their application
Study permit expires in 90 days after the official publication of study completion if not a student is under removal order or validity date mentioned in the study permit is ahead of that 90 days expiry date.

Hey i have the same concern:
- My program ends Aug 19 (tomorrow as of this writing)
- final grades released Aug 16
- received my letter of completion Aug 18 (today)

Did I violate the law because i just continued working for my employer (under coop contract)? I thought i could complete my contract and work continuously since it's coop --- but should I had stopped when the final grades were released??
Thanks in advance!

When does your visa end for co-op. When does the co-op term officially stop for all students?
