Hi! I’m a digital artist and I work as a freelancer for two years now, I work with my laptop at home and my clients are from all over the world, I want to know if is illegal to work this way in Canada , I’m planning to make a English program only for two months to improve my English and come back to my country, but I want to know if I can still doing my artworks there or should stop accepting orders while I’m studying? My income is not too high just a couple hundred USD a month

With your study permit, you can work up to 20 hours per week off campus. For remote work, as long as you don’t have canadIan clients, you can work full time.

1. Wrong, the OP is attending a 2 months English course, s/he can't work off campus.

Well right now OP needs a study permit. In the past, you didn’t for a short term course. The study permit will state conditions as the website now states this.

Working remotely for a non-canadian establishment is not considered "working in Canada" so that condition will not apply to OP.

I think the condition for EAL/EAS program still stands, so OP won't be able to work for canadian client...
