Hi guys..so i got my open work permit today expiring dec 2014 and it was based on my passport expiration..my question is can i continue working after my owp expires under implied status or can i extend the validity of my owp while im waiting for the final result of my permanent residence..

1. Once your passport is extended then you apply for a new Open Work Permit, you need a valid passport for "landing" anyhow. No implied status as you would not have applied for a new OWP.
 
Oh okay..thank you very much..do i just attached the old owp and print another form.

Im not sure what office should i sent it to?
 
December 2014?, that's far, if I were you I wont worry about that right now. Maybe, maybe that time you are landed already. Just an opinion :)

You can apply for an extension of you working permit one month or so .. before it expires,
normally will be extended,
But if you don't have a valid working permit you can not work in Canada for any reason,
This is a very serious offence and can get you deported.. so, be careful and follow the law always...
