I currently live in the States and I plan on moving to Canada sometime next year as a PR. The problem I’m facing is that I don’t know which Canadian address to use to receive my PR card.
I don’t have any friends or family in Canada, and I will be moving without a job in hand so it will be some time before I get a permanent address, as I’m willing to relocate to any province that offers a job. The plan is to live in Airbnbs for the first 6 months or so, but I don’t think I can use the Airbnb address as I don’t believe Airbnb guests get mailbox access.
From googling it looks like some people have used UPS mailbox addresses to receive their PR cards. But I already tried using an Anytime Mailbox address(which looks like a normal residential address) when I did my soft landing this year, and the officer refused to mail my PR card to a non residential address. So I’m not sure if using a UPS mailbox address would be any different.
As a newcomer who likely won’t have a permanent address for approx 6 months to a year, what do you think would be the best way to receive the PR card by mail?
