Hi all,

My wife and I recently had our medical exam done as part of our work permit application. Can we ask CIC to use our previous medical exam for our PR application?

Do we need to indicate in our application that we already have a recent medical exam or just let CIC see it, I'm sure it will pop up in their records that we had our medical exam last June.

Does anyone here have a similar experience of medical exam being waived because a recent medical exam is still valid? I read in the CIC website that medical exam is valid for 12 months?

At what stage does the request of medical exam arrive? does it come together with the AOR message?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Yes you can use it towards your CIC application unless the examinations are different, which I really doubt.
I don't thin to indicate now! Once you receive your Medical Request, if you receive it, then you can mention to them that you already have a medical record on file.
Yes back in my time, 2012-2013 I know of some people who did this and it was successful. And yes your medical exam is only valid for 12 months. Once you hit that benchmark, you need to do it all over again.
Medical request comes at last stages, usually with your PPR. Once the medical comes in, people know that they have passed the eligibilty stage and they are 90% in.

All these being said, your officer might ask for another medical exam regardless! So don't get shocked if they don't want to use your recent results.

Best of luck,
