Hi guys,
I am going to wait out the rest of this process in Toronto with my hubby. So when me and DD get our ppr, I want to drive to Buffalo for stamp, and then do landing on the way back. So my question is, can I borrow his car and drive it across the border with no issues, or would it be better to get a rental? He needs a visa to enter the U.S., so won't be able to accompany us. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks a Million!

As long as you are legally allowed to drive the vehicle and that your papers (vehicle Registration/insurance) are in order, it does not matter whose car you drive. So, if you have his consent, you can use your hubby's car. All the best!

yees u can do it but because the car is not yours USA agents will review or call to canadian authorities to know if this car has been reported as lost-robbed.
my hubby canadian citizen crossed to USA to visit me his wife in Bufalo with his friend car and the usa agents stopped him and asked him a lot.

Good Luck

Make sure you are added to his car insurance as a second driver and keep the insurance statement showing your name with you.

Ok, dumb question of the week. How does he add me as a driver on his insurance if I have my MN drivers licence.

You can be added even with a Non-Canadian driver licence. In my case I had a German licence, later got my AB licence. See the link in my signature.
