Hey guys,

I am in a bit of a conundrum and kinda desperate for help. So if anyone from you could offer some, it'd be really nice.

My situation is this: I have an entry into profession degree for a skill level A, for which you can claim points under the FSW. The points for a professional degree are higher, so I would like to benefit from it. But the trouble is, I would like to use experience in a related (but skill level b) profession. Can I do it?

It says on the website that the professional degree should be in the specified professions (mine does) and for a skill level A position (mine does), but is it also a condition that such an applicant should base his application on his a skill level A work experience that he acquired as a result of his professional degree? In short, it puts a condition that the degree should for a skill level A profession but doesn't clarify if the work experience used with such a degree should also be a skill level A experience?

Essentially, I think it comes down to if the education criterion is seen independently for its own worth (as it says, 'highest education level') or as part of a base for professional standing (i.e pre-req for entry into some professions, e.g. for quality assurance).

So what on earth do you guys think? I have talked to immigration consultants and they don't know anything about it. The Canadian High Commission doesn't respond. The landline is meant only for people within Canada. So what do I do?

Please help.
Thanks in advance.
