Can I use a full-time online job (American company) as a valid job offer for EE?

Hi, I have a low score for express entry currently. I believe that would change if I have a job offer and/or provincial nomination. Although getting work in Canada has been a challenge! I am a recent PhD graduate from the University of Saskatchewan and it is difficult finding a relevant job in my area of research.

I do have an online full-time job with an American company. Is there a possibility of using this online American job as a valid job offer for express entry application?

You need a permanent job offer from a CANADIAN employer and an approved LMIA to get extra points under Express Entry. Canada and the US are two completely separate countries.

Instead of focusing on a job in your area of research, why not spread your options to other area in Canada where you can transfer your skills? You can also target nomination from the province where you are or other provinces. Begin to study their websites one by one and gather the requirements towards when they will start to receive applications again.
