Can I update my SIN card based on Implied Status?

With PGWP applied and still in process, Can I apply for SIN no. extension for a month or so? based on my PGWP application document ? Because I am doing a full time job and my employer needs a valid SIN (which expires with Student permit by the end of this month) to pay me.

I don't believe that they will update it during "implied status".

Anyone else? Who has knowledge about this? I will really appreciate.

read this link. there are 2 conditions, if you are new worker or continuing worker.

make sure your employer reads this.

Hi,

SIN for temporary workers can not be more than validity of their Study/Work permit. So till you dont receive your PGWP, you SIN cant be extended.

ya, you cant do that.

It clearly states that "YOU CAN WORK UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS:

You should be OK with the same SIN if u r under implied status
