Can i travel as a tourist while waiting for a student visa?

hi.
i was thinking that it would be a good idea to travel to sort things out before i start college in september.
is it possible to travel with my familiy from Chile to Canada as tourists while waiting for my student visa to be approved?

Sure - make sure you book return flights. Also, don't bring too many personal belongings (only bring what you would bring if you were visiting). You aren't allowed to move to Canada as visitors.
