Can I take my girlfriend to Canada as a Common Law Partner

Hi guys,
I am Ankith, I am currently a student in North Island College in Vancouver Island, British Colombia. I would like to know if I can bring my girl friend to Canada with the common law partnet program. Also do let me know what I should keep in mind with this program.

1. You can only sponsor a common law partner to Canada if you are a citizen or PR.

2. You could theoretically apply for a spousal work permit. You would need to have cohabitated with your girlfriend for at least 12 months continuously to be able to claim common-law status, and would need documents to prove it.
