"If you are thinking about changing your institution or your program, you need to ensure that you continue to meet the conditions of your study permit, as well as the conditions that allow you to work, should you wish to work during your studies"
Does it mean that i can't change my program from 4 yrs degree to12 months certificate ?

I want to switch to 12 months certificate instead of 4 years degree.
Someone please tell me if i can

Do you know if you finish your 12 months course, you can't sit idle. After 12 months you'll be given 90 days to make your decision what you want to do. Otherwise your resr of the study permit would be cancelled.

So think wisely.
And of course you can change your program.

Good luck

Yea dude i know that. Its because i am going to start from 1st year of my program. My credits aren't transferred !
I am really frustrated.

Thanks mead :) I was kinda waiting for your reply. Its not a wise decision but i am really upset because 4 long years to wait for my degree. All my friends are pursuing master and i am stuck with undergraduate. Now what i am thinking of is a 12 months certificate

well i am assuming u have an engineering back ground..so if ur friends r doing masters then they will work as engineers and u will be working as a technician .....so what i want to point out is what r ur options after a certificate course. what further education can u do after certificate course? because u will need further education at some point to advance ur career.

One more query mead. If we complete a 12 months course then visa will get expire after 90 days ? What if i want to do another course then i will have to apply for another visa ?

1. Your SP will expire 90 days after you are done with your program. You will have to apply for a new one inside Canada, fill up IMM 5709.
