Can I submit the original document instead of a certified true copy?

Can I submit the original documents instead of a certified true copies (diplomas and transcripts)? I know I might not get them back but it saves me time to send the originals.

Also, my residence permit will expire on Dec. 20, 2013 and I will send my application on Dec. 20, 2012. Do you think that's going to be a problem?

Sending of Original doc. is not requirement ............so certified copies are enough.......they never ask for original doc. unless they do fall in any doubt
