Hi,

I am originally from India and live in Canada from last two years working as a software professional. I have all the documents ready except the following:

- my spouse's FBI police clearance certificate
- Indian police clearance certificate for both of us

Can I submit my application without this for now?

Also, I have my PR application in FSW2 pending in Buffalo. What will happen if I submit an CEC application now?

Please let me know. I have seen responses from knowledgable forum members. It will be really helpful if you can clarify my above doubts.

Regards, RSTD

You can submit, but it will delay the process. For Indian PCC, you can apply in Indian Embasy, for the province where you stay in canada.

They will consider the app, which is approved at the earliest and cancel the other.Regards, RSTD

Instructions clearly state that you must submit the PCCs with the application. Unless you have a really good reason for not following instructions (being impatient is not a really good reason), I suggest that you get the PCCs and then submit the application.

Submitting a CEC application will not affect your FSW2 application, it's OK to submit both. Assuming one of the applications reaches the final approval stage, at that time CIC will ask you to withdraw the other application.

Hi ,
Sorry to interrupt , but i dont agree on the PCC submission along with the application as mandatory.
you can go ahead and submit the application without PCC and FBI Clearance and when u receive ur AOR number , you can them send them the pcc and fbi certificate and request them to update your application with it

I'm on same boat.

If person will get PCC document but he/she doesn't receive AOR.

In this case, how to send PCC document and where?

Any senior or had face similar issue.

The best thing is for one to wait till they receive their AOR file number and then file for PCC.
Dont forget that indian PCC is valid for 1 yr.and if ur PCC is less than 3 months old at the time of sending it to CIC , it should be completely fine.
Worst case , you will be asked for another PCC if the visa officer thinks that the PCC is old, but you will never be refused a PR just for this reason.
So , in short , wait for AOR number and then submit PCC

As per OP25-A

Note: Missing admissibility documents (i.e., police certificates) should not delay the final
determination of eligibility for processing determination. Applicants have been strongly
encouraged to include police certificates with their application. However, if applicants
cannot obtain police certificates, they may still submit the application to the CIO without
them. The CIO will not reject these applications, provided they are complete in all other
respects. If the application is placed into processing, the applicant must be ready to
submit the police certificates to the processing office when requested.

I second that. Go ahead and drop ur application and then be ready with ur PCC and send them right away after u receive ur AOR

LOL, you dredged up a thread from 2011... the Buffalo office doesn't even exist any more! And needless to say, rules have changed, so the old information is no longer relevant.

Yes, you can submit your application while waiting for the PCCs. But you'll have to wait for the AOR (and file number) before you can send them in.

Appreciate thanks for response. I'm little bit worry about it b'cas May 1 they are going to change CAP.

So submitted file and same time, I have requested for PCC but did not receive it on time. Hence, I have provided explanation letter with receipt of consulate office that once will get PCC from authority. I will update it to CIC sooner.

I need to wait for AOR.... only.
