Can I still withdraw as sponsor after getting letter addressing concerns

My husband who I’m sponsoring and I received a letter saying the officer is giving us opportunity to submit more documentation after finding concerns with our application. Concerns were using a representative after disclosing no for using one. We had a friend who helped us who also sponsored his wife guide us through. Insufficient evidence of relationship and appears not genuine (lack of communication, photos appear staged, no timeline, limited cohabitation). And employment letter seem fraudulent (now I got a new job). This is our first time applying and wasn’t sure how much documentation was needed. We planned to address those concerns and submit what they needed.



Now.



As I was looking for more convos and pics to submit I found conversations of him and his ex wife recently chatting romantically. I felt disgusted and betrayed. I want to withdraw as sponsor but I read that it could be too late to withdraw. I submitted a withdraw form anyways saying we have relationship complications and plan to proceed with a divorce following.



What are the chances of the application being withdrawn? Can I proceed with divorce in the midst of it?

Generally IRCC won't let you withdraw an application if they have raised concerns and requested additional documents (or issued a PFL). However if you are heading towards a divorce and have separated and you no longer want to sponsor this individual, then you can certainly try and provide that rationale.
