Can I still travel with my Passport after applying online???

Please I am about applying for a tourist Visa to Canada with my family. We have multiple entry US Visas on our passports and intend to go visit America for Summer.
I want to know if we can still travel with our passports to USA after submitting the online application for Canada Visa.

1/ Yes, but if the TRV (visitor visa) is granted you will have to send your passport to the processing office.
