I am livinig in vancouver more than 3 year recently i have applied for citizenship and i have been already received my acknowledgement couple of month before now i have travel to my mother country pakistan in july 2012 now i have marriage next month and i have plan to stay next six month here,Some body told me that you are not canadian citizen you cannot stay six month i have confused can i stay more than 6 month outside canada i am on PR since last four year and my PR will be expire on june 2013. can i stay up to Mach 2012?
My citizen application is in process and i think my citizenship test will be due after six month.Can i spend this process time outside canada all not?

To keep your PR Status you have to stay more than 720 days (2 years) out of 5 years in Canada! If you did stay longer than 2 years so far (or 720days) then it will be fine if you stay outside for 6 months.

But, be aware, you mentioned your PR will expire June 2013. You need to apply a good 5-6 months in advance for a new PR Card (to make sure you have enough time to process without loosing status, or the right to re-enter Canada). Also, watch out if you stay outside Canada, and suddenly the Immigration Office wants something from you, you might have to come spontaneously back to Canada for the Immigration Test. (last minute Flight tickets can be expensive :)...)

My friend i have been already stay 1085 days before travel to outside canada and before leaving canada i already apply for citizenship and my case in process and just couple of month before i recived acknowledement on my citizenssip application. so it mean i am save and i can stay more than 6 months and enjoy my new marraige life.
Now i have need one more advise from all respected forum members that now i have been married just some week before and want to sponsor my wife, i want to know before traveling to canada what documents i should prepare during my stay in Pakistan.
What steps i need to complete here before traveling to canada to quickely sponsor my wife.
