I'm a Canadian citizen and can easily support more than one visitor at a time.
My wife has applied for in-Canada PR and is awaiting approval since April 2014. I keep extending her TRV and I don't want her travelling outside Canada as we wait for her file to be reviewed.
Meanwhile; she would like to see some of her family as she waits here in Canada.
So; I thought to myself why not invite some family members here for a while on a TRV?
Is that possible?
Thoughts anyone ...
Thank you!

Short answer: you can "sponsor" as many as you want.

The thing is that THEY have to prove they will go back to their home country when their visit ends. Also you sponsoring a lot of her family can be understood as "they don't have money, but I do" so that is strong ties in Canada (thus weak ties to their homecountry).... and that is a very common cause of TRV refusal.

scary ...
is there an appeal process?

No.

If you are refused you need to reapply.
