You can't send an inland application to ottawa. All PR application both inland and outland are sent to Mississauga office. If you are from the US, then apply outland. US applicants are sent to Ottawa after meeting spousal approval at Mississauga.

If you could do that, then everyone would do it.

All inland apps go to CPC-Mississauga only. No exceptions.

Not if you apply inland. Only if you apply outland.

Can u guys help me decide whether to apply it inland or outland? I saw in their website for inland initial assestment takes like 13 months but for outland takes 43 days to approve sponsor :( im confused, thanks in advance

If you apply INLAND your entire app is processed inside Canada.

If you apply OUTLAND then if you have been admitted to Canada legally with a minimum 1 year visa, you could request CPC-Ottawa to process your OUTLAND application. However even if you select Ottawa, CIC could always still choose to send your app to Manila anyways. Decision is really up to them.

Yes but after inland initial assessment at 13 months, you can qualify for OWP and healthcare.

With outland initial assessment after 43 days, you don't get anything.

If you decide to apply OUTLAND then you need to do your medical UPFRONT and submit it with your application. If your current visa is valid for at least 1 year then yes you can request Ottawa instead of Mania.

HOWEVER pay very close attention to what I said. CIC can decide to send your app to Manila based on your citizenship even though you qualify for and select Ottawa based on your current residency. So just be prepared for that possibility.

Thanks Rob but do i really need to have visa? I dont have valid visa, my work permit will expire dec 2015 though, so u think i can still request Ottawa??thank

By valid "visa", I just mean any valid status in Canada so work or study permit valid for at least 1 year is fine.
