I applied for the student GIC through Scotia Bank at first, but the address of my Indian bank account, Scotiabank account and passport didn't match. They asked me to submit a address change request. so I did. However, they are taking far too long to get back to me with a response. I have already wired my funds and they said my application is rejected when I called them but I haven't received any formal mail or refund. I am in a hurry for my GIC as I need to apply for my visa. I wanted to know if in this scenario I can open a GIC in ICICI, as it seems like a much faster process and will be done in 5 days.
Any suggestions?
