Can I reenter Canada using my tourist visa after submitting my express entry application?

I'm currently in Canada, waiting for my ECA. After submitting my EE application(hopefully in a couple months), I would like to travel to the UK for a week, then return to Canada. I have been here for 7 months on a visitor stay extension that expires in September. I know that if I leave the country, the extension is no longer valid, however, my visa is multiple entry. Will I be able to return to Canada based on that? My home country is in the Caribbean.

Sure. It's a mulitple-entry visa, as long as it's valid.

Your EE application is a non-factor.

It's your 7+ month stay and quick return to Canada that may be of interest to the officer.
