Hi all,

I was using the service of a consultant , but things went sour between us as he was not transparent and was demanding money every now and then. So now i am left with

a.) an EE profile filed by him, job bank details - I have no clue what the login is, neither is he ready to give. So basically this profile is active now !!
b.) I would really want to stop his services and create a fresh account on my own, with details from this forum.

Can i really create a new account on my own and wait for ITA, When i receive ITA doesn't both profiles get the ITA, will that be an issue ? Also the profile done by him is just like, for the heck of showing me that he did it.

I have a CRS of 467 now and hoping I get an invitation. I did WES my own so i have that with me atleast.

I suggest you do the following:

- Send a message to your consultant to officially withdraw your case, and request that he withdraw your profile immediately. Also ask for confirmation of receipt of this message.
- When you receive an ITA, attach a letter of explanation that details the situation and explains that any profile submitted by your former consultant in your name is without your consent. Attach the note you sent him and his confirmation of receipt (if provided).

Thank you for your suggestion. Though I went to their office and told I would be discontinuing their services and they agreed verbally, I am not certain if they would cancel the profile from their end , leave alone any kind of confirmation for that matter :( !!! But still worth a try.

Any other options ?

Just like dan said, create a new profile and when you get an ITA write a letter of explanation stating that you are not sure whether that consultant withdrew your other express entry profile, that it is out of your hands.

I reckon, you'll be fine.

Cheers mate ;)

You should send a written notice(email or text message) to your consultant to withdraw profile. Include Express entry profile number if you have in that notice. Since you paid the fees and it's your profile they are oblige to follow up on your request. Ask for confirmation and if they don't provide you can complaint CIC about their behavior and situation.

Agree, any communication that you do with your consultant in this regard should be a written one (preferably electronic), it can be used as a proof to justify your case to CIC.

You can go ahead and make a new profile, get ITA and submit your application through new profile. Active/inactive profiles in the pool means nothing to CIC. Any profile will be considered legit and reviewable when it's submitted along with the required fee. Even if your consultant doesn't withdraw your old profile, it wouldn't be a problem. Anyone can make any profile. Anyone can make fictitious profile by putting fictitious passport number, IELTS and Wes number. CIC doesn't have time to check all profiles in the pool. They only review file which are submitted along with the application fee.

Your consultant can't do anything with your old profile unless he wants to genuinely harm you by submitting it with wrong details. That means he would have to pay application fee from his pocket and I seriously doubt that. So go ahead with new one. I initially tool help of consultant but later did my own. I was in your position but I highly doubt my consultant ever withdrew my profile. Bit it didn't matter in the end. Good luck.
